Come Grow With Us

We invite people of all ages, and families of all sizes to come and grow with us!

We are a small congregation.  We are a twenty-year old church plant of the Association of Free Lutheran Congregations (AFLC) Home Missions Department.

Though a small and relatively new congregation, we have our own church building, bought and completely paid for!  We also have room to grow!  Come, grow with us!

Don't let size (or the lack thereof) deceive you!  We are a healthy, joy-filled congregation.  What we do, we do well!  We have weekly Sunday worship services (9:00 a.m.), with staffed nursery!  We have Sunday school following our worship service for ages pre-school through adults during the school calendar year.  During the summer months adult and youth Sunday school continues.  As for the younger children during the summer months, we offer "Children's Church", where following our "Bible Talk" (aka children's sermon) children who so desire are dismissed to the basement for the remainder of the worship service, where they enjoy a snack, Bible lesson, crafts and singing. We also have weekly Sunday afternoon/evening prayer meetings.  These gatherings are informal -- we gather together for some singing, take prayer requests/items, pray, and conclude with some more singing.

Though small, we are a "full-service" congregation (at least as full as we can be, given our size).  For instance, we have a youth group that meets regularly and Confirmation classes for youth on Wednesdays.  We have a Deacon Board and Church Council that oversees the general operation of the congregation's mission and ministry.  For the ladies, we have a women's group (WMF -- Women's Missionary Federation) that meets monthly for Bible study and fellowship, focusing on our AFLC missionary work at home and abroad, as well as Christian Education endeavors within our AFLC family.  We also have a Young Adult Fellowship, which meets periodically.  Our Deacons meet each Wednesday morning to conduct their business.  Their meeting begins at 10:00 a.m. with a brief Bible study, which is actually open to anyone, especially men!  As a congregation, we're involved in many community projects, and personally support a missionary family serving in Uganda.

As a small congregation we obviously lack what larger congregations have and offer.  What we do not lack is rich, caring, loving fellowship among all our members.  After all, we are a small "family"!  There's great blessing in that.  Everyone knows everyone and is genuinely concerned about everyone.  There is great passion among us for outreach and disciple-making.

In addition, we do not lack in our regard for God's Word.  We firmly believe that the Bible is God's Word, and as such is inerrant and infallible, that is, absolutely true.  Here at the Lutheran Church of Hope, we like to say "Truth lives here!"  In being a part of our congregation you will soon discover that we honor and uphold the truth of God's Holy Word.  As the apostle Paul once said, "We have renounced disgraceful, underhanded ways; we refuse to practice cunning  or to tamper with God's word" (2 Corinthians 4:2).  How this manifests itself among us is that we strive to build/grow the congregation God's way, not the world's way.  We strive to grow marriages, families and children God's way, not the world's way.  In all that we do in mission and ministry, we strive to do it God's way, as He directs us by His Word.

If such a fellowship appeals to you, we invite you to come and grow with us.  If being a part of a growing congregation (growing every aspect of its mission and ministry from the ground floor up) appeals to you, we invite you to come and grow with us.

When you visit us, we trust you will find: a warm, caring congregation that will gladly welcome you; worship that is simple and reverent, focusing on the Scriptures; preaching and teaching that is centered on the Word of God; and ministries to meet the spiritual needs of every age.

Come, grow with us!
