Crossroads Conversations

Crossroads Conversations is an open discussion about current events and what the response of the church should be to it all.  Jeremiah 6:16 says "Thus, says the Lord: 'Stand at the crossroads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls.'"

We, as a nation and as a church, are at a crossroads.  It would be good for us to recognize this, and wise of us to have an on-going conversation about it (i.e. what is going on in the world and in particular our nation, and what should be the response of the church to all this.).

Jesus said, "You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times" (Matthew 16:3).  The apostle Paul wrote, "Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of the time, because the days are evil.  Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is" (Ephesians 5:15-17).  We read in Revelation 16, "Lo, I am coming like a thief!  Blessed is he who is awake, keeping his garments that he may not go naked and be exposed" (v. 15).

How important it is that we awaken from our slumber, correctly recognize the "signs of the times," and walk wisely.

We find ourselves at a crossroads.  Let's meet there together, discuss... discern... and determine what is the "ancient path, where the good way is" so that we can walk in it.

Anyone interested is welcome to attend.  Unless otherwise noted, we meet for about an hour, the first and third Wednesdays of the month, at the church, 7:00 p.m.

See you at the crossroads!
