Where Luther Walked

On Reformation Sunday (October 28), 2:30 p.m., we'll be showing the 30 miniute film "Where Luther Walked."  How did Martin Luther, who sought only the quiet monastery, become a pivotal figure in Western history?  Why did he object so strongly to indulgences?  How did Gutengberg's new printing press spread his influence?  What was the significance of Luther's relationship with Duke Fredrick the Wise?  Why did Luther marry?  How did he respond when his young daughter died in his arms?

These and many other topics are addressed in this captivating on-location documentary with the late Dr. Roland Bainton, dean of Luther scholars, longtime professor at Yale University, master story teller, and author of the award-winning Luther biography "Here I stand."

No admission.  Open to the public.  Refreshments (popcorn, etc.) served!
